Dave Middleton

Dave’s concentrated artistic efforts began 10 years ago with a drawing workshop. Since then he has become focused on black & white media – ink, graphite and charcoal. His studio works are landscapes often containing figures, urban scenes and portraits. To study these subjects and prepare for studio works, Dave tries to draw every day from life.

“I love to draw, anytime – anywhere. I always carry a small sketchbook with pen and pencil for quick studies. Most often, I also carry a shoulder bag with handmade sketchbooks containing gray or white paper for longer studies. I especially enjoy drawing from life, plein air, whenever the chance arises.”
