Kathleen Kalinowski
Noted for her Michigan landscape paintings, Kathleen’s love of the landscape started as a child. She grew up drawing and observing the land, filling sketchbooks and taking art classes from area artists. She still is a dedicated plein air artist and has been working as a professional fine artist for the past 20 years using pastel and oil as her mediums. Some of her plein air work is used as reference for larger studio paintings. “Art is my passion, it is who I am. I paint the landscape because I have a profound love of nature and I enjoy the endless variety of ways that I can be inspired from it. My work is about light and color and how it describes the elements and the sensation of the landscape.”
