Susan Wray
Susan Wray paints with pastels, a medium that offers rich colors from pure pigments. Her paintings depict Michigan landscapes and Midwestern urban architecture.
“I am interested in the different qualities of light of each season and especially intrigued by shadows and reflections. Painting en plein air offers me opportunities to quickly depict these fleeting phenomena.”
Wray’s paintings, executed with archival-quality materials, offer brilliance and durability. Her works can be seen at The Washington Square Art Gallery in Holland and The Baker Allegan Studios in Allegan. She is a member of the Great Lakes Pastel Society.
