Donna Bogle

View for the Bluff - Pastel

Autumn Light - Pastel

Donna began painting by default when she was hired to teach high school art, being totally unqualified (The football coach threaten to quite if he had to do it.) Since then, she has taken university classes, private lessons in Europe, workshops, and also tutored privately. After several years in the studio, the study of nature and landscapes in the outdoors has become her preference. There is nothing so wonderful as the breeze, the scents, the odd conversation with a gawker, the light changes, or temperatures for a painter who wants to remember what it feels like to paint outside. Each painting becomes an emotional memory, with stories to tell and colors to apply to paper or canvas.
