Linda Valentino Walker

Linda is a Graphic Design instructor at Glen Oaks Community College in Centreville, MI. She teaches college level and dual enrollment high school students for the Career Technology Education program.

“Creative expression is critical for keeping a fresh view on life and continually moving forward. Plein air painting allows me to experiment with new techniques, ideas, and mediums.”

Valentino Walker worked as an editorial cartoonist at Northern Illinois University and after graduating college, as a graphic designer and computer graphic artist. She went on to own her own mural and decorative painting business, Valentino Walker Murals, for twenty-five years.

Linda is currently represented by Sleeping Bear Gallery in Empire and Stafford’s Gallery in Petoskey, Michigan. She often refers to herself as a colorist and emphasizes that element in her compositions. Influenced by the work of Van Gogh and Bonnard, she loves to spend time painting with the Plein Air Artists of West Michigan whenever possible.
