Michele Barron Buelow

"My joy is to be painting in the open air, attempting to capture the beauty of nature before me. That vision later reveals itself in the textures and colors of the non-representational studio work I create. In viewing my art, I hope you can sense that which I carried in my mind’s eye, the movement, the incredible variety of hue and shape that nature displays. The mediums are often varied and many times mixed. It is with joy and abandon that I lay them on the canvas until I am satisfied with the facet of nature they express.

I obtained B.S. degrees from Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University and practiced interior design in the facilities department of Michigan National Bank for many years. My art studies began as a youth and have continued throughout my adulthood with many instructors and as an avocation I enjoyed. Upon retiring it has become my passion."
